“there’s more meat on a sparrows knee cap!”

I had always liked action movies as a kid, and was influenced by the big characters like Schwarzenegger and Stallone. I was the tall skinny kid in school. 6ft 2 weighing just 9 stone. I was a very self-conscious person, I didn’t like eating in front of people and so if nobody else at the table was eating, then I wouldn’t either – some action hero I would be!

My teenage years were filled with comments such as, “you need to eat more” and, “there’s more meat on a sparrows knee cap!”

When I first got the chance, at 16, I joined my local gym. Not having a clue what I was doing and very shy, I ran on the treadmill for about 45 minutes, of course this was detrimental to my intended muscle building! When people caught wind of me attending the gym, I was laughed at.

At this point, I could have accepted my fate and given up. I didn’t.

It was the negativity that fuelled me to become the person I am today. I worked hard and researched daily to find the best methods for gaining size and putting on quality mass. In 2016, I stepped this up a level. My ultimate goal was to win a bodybuilding title, which would silence my demons and prove wrong the haters.

I fully concentrated on gaining mass for six months, followed by a successful dieting period. After this I was rewarded with a first place win! The rest is history, here are my titles up to now:

  • 2016 Mr Lincolnshire, First Timers, 1st
  • 2017 GBO Mansfield, Male Model, 1st
  • 2017 GBO Mansfield, Male Muscle model, 2nd
  • 2017 GBO Leicester, Mens Physique, 1st
  • 2017 IBFA Mr. Lincolnshire, Athletic Tall, 2nd
  • 2017 WBFF Warrior Oldham, Muscle Physique, 2nd
  • Level 2 Gym Instructor
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer

Following my successes, I now help others to transform themselves and have the motivation and drive to excel, with a qualification in advanced sports nutrition.

Never give up on your goals, dedicate yourself to a cause, no matter what it may be. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to ask for help. I may stand on the bodybuilding stage alone, but I could not be there without a special network of loved ones and friends.

The most important take away here is that I'm happy and confident with myself, in my own skin. I now don't care what others think and my demons are gone.

“ it’s not just all about the results which is what other groups mainly focus on. I’ve learnt more from Kimberley in the last 3 weeks than I have done going to the gym, paying for pt’s and doing group classes in the last 10 years. I’ve really started to enjoy training again.”

I too was bullied throughout my younger years. I was labelled as “fat” and “ugly” and have had to force a change in my lifestyle to become who I am today. I’m loud, confident and not afraid to have fun at the expense of caring what people think!

My journey started through dancing, I became a gold medallist in pole dancing, followed by aerial hoop and aerial skill. This developed my strength and confidence to step foot in the gym and I’ve never looked back.

I have dropped over six dress sizes and I am still able to enjoy all of the things in life without having a strict diet and training regime. I enjoy what I do and it doesn’t feel like a chore.

Now qualified as a personal trainer and advanced nutritionist, I dedicate myself to helping others gain the confidence they deserve in both mind and body whilst making it enjoyable and maintainable.

My qualifications & achievements include:

  • Level 2 Gym Instructor
  • Level 3 Personal Trainer
  • Advanced Sports Nutritionist
  • Pole Dancing Gold Medallist
  • MetaFIT Instructor
  • MetaPWR Instructor
  • Boxercise Instructor
